Problems with high Packet loss and jitter

Hi,

1. What program are you testing with?
If it's using HTTP, it may be affected by the http proxy / content filter / web security.

2. What is your CPU? 
3. How busy is it? (see Reporting - Hardware and/or run 'top)

4. How much bandwidth are you using from other connections when you're testing?

5. What brand NICs are you using?

6. run 'ifconfig' and check for interface errors

here is my ifconfig forr WAN interface

Thank you so much for your help.
I am using voipreview.org to test it since my VOIP phones have terrible connections.
When testing I am not using any bandwidth on the network(at least very little)
The CPU is a 1.4 Ghz Pentium and the CPU Usage is between 16-35 %
The NIC is a RTL 8169

I might also mention I use a Netgear VLAN switch GS116E to connect all devices to the Astaro.

1. please run ifconfig on the firewall to check for interface errors.

2. do you see packetloss with traceroute or ping?

3. 
a. are your phones using SIP?
b. Are you using the VOIP Security system, or just using DNAT/PacketFilter rules?

How do I run ifconfig on the firewall?
I see the packet loss when doing a speedtest from my connected PC, when using voipreview's speedtest. I am using SIP phones and a Google voice Phone and I use
DNAT Packet filter rules. The packet loss is not limited to the VOIP connections, but
on all connected PC's and voipreview simulates a VOIP connection on my PC. I got a packet loss from 4% and as high as 21% in my latest test.

Have you checked the Intrusion Prevention log to be sure you're not having traffic stopped by Anti-DoS Flooding?

How do I run ifconfig on the firewall?

You can configure passwords for 'loginuser' and 'root' in Webadmin - Management - Shell/Remote Access.

Then, you can login to the console (local keyboard/monitor) as root, or use SSH and login as 'loginuser'.

Then just run 'ifconfig'.

I experienced similar problems with the onboard nic of my workstation which is also the rtl8169. Solved by adding an Intel nic ;-)

The issue cannot be related to any hardware such as the RTL8169 because I tried this by logging in to a US VPN server and then there is 0 % packet loss. There must be something blocking the packets when I a, not using the VPN tunnel directly from one of my PC's
