Timeout while reading response from Server

There's a possibility that this may be one of those websites that just doesn't work well with the proxy.  If this is the case and you are using the Web Proxy in transparent mode, you can add the external site to the transparent proxy skiplist as a destination.

Ok, so I'm looking at transparent mode skiplist in advanced settings under web security. I see that it says urls listed here will not be subject to transparent interception. I'm familiar with creating network and service definitions, but how do I correctly add the URL to this piece of the Astaro? I tried both host and dns host but neither worked.

If you use the Host type, then you would enter the IP address of the web server.  DNS Host type uses the URL and will resolve it in the background.  If the site uses a distributed method to serve the site from multiple IP addresses, then you could use the URL with a DNS Group type.  More information on the various types of Definitions can be found using the in-line help (blue button with a question mark symbol in the upper right of WebAdmin).

I'd be happy to check the site from behind an Astaro V8.201 if you are able to share the URL.

I've tried both host and dns host and the page still won't open. I've also just found that www.trustedsource.org does the same thing, which is what Astaro uses to categorize websites, right?

Your HTTP/S Proxy is not in a Transparent mode, so the entries on the 'Transparent mode skiplist' won't help. [:)]  You need to create the exceptions in the clients' browser configs.

FWIW, I'm (V7.511) not having this problem with either website.

Are you using version 8.201 of Astaro by chance?  I know that there's a problem with some sites and timeouts.  Astaro released a point-patch for the proxy v8.201 which resolves a number of issues.  I installed it to fix another problem I'd experienced and I can reach your site just fine using either transparent or standard mode in the proxy.

Yes, the version is 8.201. The proxy is running in transparent mode, but we have proxy profiles set up using AD SSO for users to get different web surfing privileges. I will test the update and report back. Thanks for the help so far!
