First, try a reboot. If that doesn't work, try restoring one of the backups from before the upgrade. Any luck?

Sorry for any short responses.  Posted from my iPhone.

I maintain my own as well as a friends UTM.  Both have immediate login issues after the 9.3 update.   I had to do a password reset in order to login.  One week later and I again can no longer login to my UTM.  I am going to do another password reset but this is getting old really fast.  

Once I reset and login I will see if I have a 9.2 backup on the utm.  

Any other ideas?

Just tried to do a password reset and I still cannot even login directly to the box.  Tried it a second time with same results!!!  Followed directions at https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/115346.aspx

I do notice a flaw with the Reset WebAdmin Password instructions, if using SSH.  You should initially login with loginuser, then su to root after.  Is that the process you performed or were you doing the Reset All Passwords procedure?

With the exception of the suggestions earlier in the thread, if you still can't login, you may need to re-install from ISO then apply your config-backup as a last resort.

I am not using SSH (although I tried, but was unable to login).  I hooked a screen and keyboard to the box, and followed the instructions to change the loginuser and root password and then did a restart.

I know when I did this about a week or 2 ago, I was able to get to the point of running the CC ....

So step 16 is where I try to login as root and still cannot.
