Some users unable to authenticate to Sophos Client.

As per the logs Authentication is getting failed, please make sure the user name and password are correct.

Are you able to log in the same user with the user portal?

Yes. The user is able to sign in.

After viewing the VPN log i see the user authentication was successful the connection wasn't just established.

Please verify the configuration again as per the below link .

Please check Firewall authentication methods and  SSL VPN authentication methods under Authentication > Services and make sure AD is added and try to re-import the SSL VPN Configuration on Sophos Connect Client.

Please check with a simple password with no special character or space

How many users are not getting connected and getting connected with SSL VPN? 

Authentication is successful on the log viewer. however, on the Sophos connect client it says authentication failed and on the events.

but i noticed no connection established

I am fine now..

I noticed the issue is with the group on AD the user is a member of.
