Bad throughput after 9.30*

My guest WLAN (separate zone) is unusable after upgrading to 9.301. My other two WLANs that are bridged to LAN works fine.

    /sbin/ethtool -K wlan0 tso off

    Replace "wlan0" with "wlan1" etc. to handle each of your "Separate Zone" SSIDs.  Must be done after every reboot until the fix arrives in 9.308.


    Am I correct, there is NO fix for this in 9.308 [:S]

    Yes,  still no fix.

    Got this from support today:

    Hello Martin

    This bug is fixed in 9.309, providing testing and Q&A go well it will be released on 17th March. 

    If you still have issues with Wireless after you are on this version please let me know.

    In the meantime, add the following line to /etc/crontab-static

    @reboot root /sbin/ethtool -K wlan0 tso off && date>>/root/ethtoolran

    Bob, replacing the semicolon ([;)] with && would prevent the 'date' from running if the ethtool command failed.

    With the semicolon, 'date' would run even if there was an error in the earlier part.

    9.309 here on a hyper-v instsance with AP50

    Bridged SSID working somewhat OK (as it has been)

    Zoned SSIDs still not enough throughput to load anymore than the framework of a webpage. 

    Did not test throughput, and will not bother. It is as unusable as it has been since 9.3.0

    Have not applied ethtool and am not going to bother. This (long ago) passed the point of patent absurdity. 

    I had what appeared to be a very productive call (over a week ago) with some key management members and found them to be sincere. Time will tell. I would imagine that the light at the top of the hole is getting hard to see.  Nonetheless, I am sure things will get ironed out at some point. However, at this juncture I am worn out and am moving on from the integrated Wifi.

    Apply 9.309 Soft Release and it should hopefully take care of your WiFi issues.  It was released yesterday, I applied it last night, and so far it's good.  Be sure to check your Interface MTU and make sure it's at 1500 after you apply the update.  Hard Release is set for early next week.
