Web Proxy is blocking a download

I have a strange problem with the Web Proxy in a ASG120 unit.

When I try to open this link with IE
http://www.adapt.it/acm-on-line/Home/documento3023.html

I get an error: Unable to download the file, unable to found web site. [:S]
If I retry a second time, I get the file successfully. The first time I open the file I always get the error described (see the screenshot in attachment). When I disable the Web Proxy, the file is always downloaded successfully. I have tried to disable Antivirus function in Astaro, but the error still occurs.

Any ideas? Do you have problems when you try to download this file?

    I had some experiences with IE8 with the same behaviour - but not only when surfing via ASG proxy. My conculsion was, that IE8 is buggy and shows sometimes a bit too early it´s ugly "network probelms" page.

    Of course it seems releated to the ASG proxy in your case, but I would bet you could use an IE7 , all Firefoxes, Operas, CHromes and whatever browser you want without problems. IE8 - really lousy.

    Hi Ölm, with IE7 I have the same problem too. And... the error is not shown in the page you say, but in a window of IE. You can see the message in my first post, or here: http://www.astaro.org/attachments/web-security-http-https-ftp-im-p2p-web-filtering-antivirus/2634d1255001160-web-proxy-blocking-download-errore.jpg.

    Nevertheless you are right, IE8 is the worst browser in the world [;)]

    have you got some news about this bug?
    I have tried 7.405 in another unit (asg220) and the download started successfully, yesterday I have upgraded to 7.501 and the problem is come back... [:(]

    if this is happening with a demo unit during a evaluation of Astaro Security Gateway, your reseller should be able to help you (if not, perhaps it´s a good idea to think about changing the reseller).

    I had the exactly same effect at a customer some days ago and the solution was very simple but also tricky ...
    The customer has created a "static entry" definition under Network Services -> DNS -> Static Entries.
    This definition was named "it" and pointed to an IP adress of an internal server.
     
    Subsequently, all requests to servers in the .it-top level daomin were not sent out into Internet, but internally to this server. 
     
    Solution was to remove the "it" entry and all worked fine again.
