Adobe reader 7.0 Update Problem

Hello,

i have problems with some clients ,who can´t update there Adobe reader 7.0 to 7.08. I make live log but i dont see any Packets , so can´t see the destination IP. 

And i search the web for the ip´s or DNS Names of the Adobe Update Server, but i found nothing...

can somebody plz help me.....[:S]

    update.adobe.com
    to your HTTP proxy Whitelist domains and it should work

    you will also need to add some records for llnw.net... adobe uses them to distribute the updates too.

    so i put update.adobe.com to the white list.But it don´t works.
    i make DNS (mX) entry in network definition for adobe.update.com and make rule.

    but it dont´s work.

    mhhh.. we got 2 Groups of usergroups . 1 have only a content filter entry with only nudity and drugs.

    i mean everbody use the adobe reader , so how do u fix the update problem....?[:S]

    Are you using the HTTP-Proxy or the Packet-Filter for the IE connection? Adobe updater uses the IE settings for its connection to the internet.

    the client ´s use the http proxy from the astaro gateway.
    i think it´s very strange, because all the user of the first http proxy group can make the updates. only the users/client´s who  are in the second group can´t update.

    but if i check update.adobe.com on the astaro page, it is not in a content filter group.


    so, if the ports are not blocked and the site are not blocked...where is the mistake?[:S]

    Whats the difference between the first and the second user group?

    Do you have user authentication, or how do you identify the group?

    under System >> User Authentication :is only ADS Member.

    PS: Bei deinem NIC geh ich mal davon aus, das du auch deutsch kannst.

    Also, so gehst vielleicht einfacher.

    Es gibt unter dem Http proxy 2 Gruppen die erste darf nicht auf sex, porn etc und gewalt zugreifen .Die zweite Gruppe hat fast alles gespeert ausser shopping,health und andere Filter die zur Arbeit gebraucht werden.

    Ansonsten gibt es nix wodurch diese Gruppen sich unterscheiden. Nur das halt bei der ersten Gruppe das Adobe Update funtzt und bei der zweiten nicht.:-(
    Der Fehler kann aber nicht am content filter liegen. Da die update.adobe.com site nicht im content filter gesperrt wird. Habe das auf astaro.de getestet.

    Glaub dass der AutoUpdater von Adobe da probleme macht. Hast du schon versucht dich manuell auf die Seite zu verbinden?
