[9.002] Wrong remote access reporting

Hi,

when looking at 'Logging & Reporting' -> 'Remote Access' -> 'Session' -> 'Current users', it reports that there are 2 active session. However, the 'Remote Access' page shows there are no online sessions. This page is right, there aren't any current sessions.

    Your first screen shot shows a time from of last 7 days; change to the current day.

    True, that's because according to this report the session is still current and started a couple of days ago. When the session has already been disconnected it should show up under completed sessions and not under current sessions. Current sessions implies that the session is still active.

    If I run the same report on my system the returned values change based upon the day range. If I run it for "Today" no one shows in remote access which is correct. If I run it for yesterday it shows 4 users that had been active at some point yesterday. If I run it for 7 days I see more users. In my opinion the report works as it should.

    Ok, but should't these session only appear on the completed sessions report since they already have disconnected? It's getting stranger.  When I connect using the SSL VPN, this session shows up on the current session report along with the previous sessions shown in my screenshot earlier. However, when I disconnect the session and run the report again, this session doesn't show up on the report anymore, but the other two still do. This led me to believe that this report is meant like it's name. It shows active sessions during the time frame selected. For some reason ASG still thinks these two sessions are still active. Also, many more users connect to our ASG and their sessions don't show up on the current sessions report, but do appear on the completed sessions report.

    I can't reproduce the scenario but I am on version 8.305; we need someone else on version 9 to test. Also does a restart of the system change what it is reporting for active sessions?

    Reboot doesn't solve it. Looks like 2 incomplete database records for these 2 connections.

    Can confirm this bug. For me it happend while the SSL VPN user were connected and I switched from one node to the other (hot-standby with two nodes).  Now after a couple of days using the new UTM 9 with, let me guess, 2-3 desired takeovers, we have now 3 users showing up in current session which aren't connected since days. DB record corpses or what?? Shutting down an restart SSL VPN does not clear the list.
