Sophos UTM 9 wont let me install office 365 the logs say its dropped by the Firewall?

Apologies for the late reply I checked rule 1 under firewall and it is set to internal network then DNS and any hopefully this helps?

If you are still having the problem, please post a line from the Firewall log file. Alone among the logs, the Firewall Live Log presents abbreviated information in a format easier to read quickly.  Usually, you can't troubleshoot without looking at the corresponding line from the full Firewall log file.

Thank you so much i was able to figure it out through web filtering. I just used filtering options and put both microsoft dns hosts in the exceptions.

What did you create exceptions for in the filtering options.  You answer did not give me enough to go on to recreate...

i created exceptions in the transparent mode skiplist 

#1 skipmode destination host 

destinations were officecdn.microsoft.com for the first one and officecdn.microsoft.com.edgesuite.net both as dns host

I did that and continue to have problems.  I don't know if it is our new SG firewall, the anti-virus or Office that is the problem.  Frustrated, grrr

are you in transparent mode?

Yes, but authentication is set to "None" until I can take care of some AD Domain issues.
