So I have done a bunch of searching and I swear I have my setup right but it doesn't appear to be limiting the bandwidth properly. I am trying to limit the bandwidth usage of a single host on my network. I am running 8.003. I want to allow 1Mbps download and 256Kbps upload. The download appears to work fine but the upload doesn't. I feel like I'm missing something really stupid... Here are the speeds I'm seeing:

If you're using the HTTP/S Proxy, you can't regulate the outbound traffic from different internal users. You only can limit the volume of data sent to them by the Internal interface.
New Information:It is now possible to do per-user QoS on outbound traffic passing through the Web Filtering Proxy. This is not true for any other proxy.
Thank you for the description. I did the same configuration (as per instruction) but I have the following problem:
- all clients have Qos activated, but my goal is only one host
- the Qos from the upload is workling according to the configuration
- the Download Qos doesn't work
keep in mind that in all other interfaces other than wan up and down are flipped..aka up is actually down and vice versa..[[:)]] once you wrap your head around the concept it does make a kinda sense from the perspective used..but it's not totally logical IMO..[[:)]]
Like William says, regulating traffic to the Internet is done with bandwidth pools on the External interface. Regulating traffic from the Internet is done on the Internal interface.
Danodemano's example above will now work, as I explained in modified post #3. In the "Kids Outbound" bandwidth pool, the "Kids Inbound" traffic selector is not effective and can/should be un-checked. Same for the "Kids Outbound" selector in the "Kids Inbound" pool.

Sorry I'm still confused. I have one point still open:
When I open a Bandwith Pool (WAN) - the Qos - Upload is working.
If I try in another Network (DMZ) unfortunately the Upload is still affected from the LAN Rule (Qos Upload).
Please adjust 'Total available up(down)link bandwidth' for External(WAN) to your real bandwidth.
In bandwidth pool for 'Internal' use only the traffic selector 2.
