Pop3proxy Prefetcher exception

I'm downloading my mails over the pop3proxy to filter the spam. I noticed that there are no more new mails coming in over the pop3proxy an then I found this in the pop3proxy log:

2008:09:07-10:29:27 (none) pop3proxy[9748]: Prefetch: account 4

2008:09:07-10:29:31 (none) pop3proxy[9748]: Prefetcher exception

After that I manually deleted all spam messages on my mailserver and then it worked again. What does this message means? Is this an error in the code of the Astaro firewall?

    Seems that the response of the UIDL command from your pop3 server doesn't comply with RFC 1939. Can you provide me a login to your asg or to a (test-)account on that pop3 server? Please send them to cgarst at astaro dot com.

    The error on my Asg Firewall is solved since I deleted all the spam mails on my mailaccount. The mailserver is from Swissonline. (http://www.swissonline.ch) Maybe you can get some infos from them.

    I wonder if deleting all spam mails has solved it. Maybe it was a temporary problem with the server.

    I'm quite sure that the deletion has solved the problem. I had this problem for about a week until I noticed it. Directly after the deletion I downloaded my mails again and it worked perfectly.

    looks to me like the pop proxy doesnt like some sort of spam mails !

    We have a ASG120 here where the error encounters several times a day.
    Only solution is to deactivate the proxy - fetch all mails (and spams too)
    then the proxy is working fine again till the next format error mail.

    We try to filter out such a mail to send it to Astaro - problem appears only
    on the Astaro Proxy !

    Update to 7.301 hasnt fixed that

    UIDL is a command in the pop3 protocol, it has nothing to do with the content of a mail.

    @thenetstriker: I assume your pop3 server is pop.hispeed.ch? They're using InterMail as server software.
    @kangarookie: What is the hostname of your pop3 server? Can you post some lines from the logfile?

    the format error numbers are changing.
    Prefetch mode has nothing to do with because it doesnt work with
    deactivated prefetch option too.

    Yes, I am using the pop.hispeed.ch pop3 server.

    Strange. The server has to respond with something like "10 2ef7c8" (" ") but the proxy only gets the msgnr and a space without the uid.

    @kangarookie: Can i get a login to your shell? Please send it per PM or per mail to cgarst at astaro dot com.

    can i use the "normal" public key of the support to do that ?
