I have an older Lynnfield i5-750 that isn't being used. I was thinking that I would get a mobo and use it for the Sophos box.
I know it's older tech, but it should be alright, yes? I've been reading about how some of the processes like higher clock speeds. Would I be better served getting something with more MHZ, like a Pentium Anniversary edition and OCing it to 4.0 MHZ?

Thanks William. New parts it is. Do you think I would be better with an i3 Haswell or a Anniversary Edition Pentium OC'd to 4+ MHZ?

Hi, I'm not sure about that model, but many Lenovo workstations use poor NICs; budget for an extra Intel or Broadcom NIC.
