Partial restore? Want to install additional NIC

I want to add an additional network card to my Astaro box (and have tried doing it manually with no luck). So when I do a reinstall the card shows up. But when I restore settings it seems to restore the old network card settings so I am back at square one with the card no-longer there...

Is there a way to restore all settings but not the NIC settings? Or is there an easy way to install an additional network card? When I have tried messing with adding a card in the GUI (in conjunction with command line) I sometimes end up getting locked out and have to reinstall...

So you are doing a completely new installation of UTM? That is the only way to add new network cards to the UTM according to the documentation. Then you apply your backup and the old car returns?

Did you try to delete that old card out of the configuration? Does it see your new card?

Look at the Interfaces Hardware tab; all the NICs in the system should be listed there, regardless of whether they are configured/active.

I've done a new install and given IPs to the three cards but when I restore I'm back to having only settings for the 2 cards...

I messed with the command line and got three cards to show up in the GUI but when I did a reboot I was down to one card and had to do a restore of an old file to get back to 2 cards...
