Cannot delete Ethernet Bridge in 9.3

Hi,

i have the same problem, fully configured FW (started with Firmware 7) with an Ethernet Bridge on eth0 and ethx.
Not possible to release the bridge without destroying the eth0-assosiations.
Factory Defaults is not an option for me, would mean at least some days for configuration.
Tried some Idea's, none to work 'till now. (New Dev created and in the bridge, then eth0 exclude etc etc).
We had the bridge on Internal Interface because of the RED Devices (i think in 7 we had to do so).

A pointer in the right direction would be nice, for both of us DD

Hi, Markus and Micha, and welcome to the User BB!

The "trick" is to edit the interface definition, uncheck the box for ethx, change the selection from "Ethernet bridge" to "Ethernet" and save.

thanks for the hint and the nice welcome, but unfortunalty it is not working, don't know why.

Here is the Error-Message:
Das Bridge-Port-Objekt 'eth0 Intel Corporation I210 Gigabit Network Connection' ist für das Bridge-Objekt 'Internal Net (Bridged RED-LAN)' erforderlich.
(Means: The Bridge-Port-Object (eth0) is for the Bridge-Object (Internal) required.)

I tried it with only eth0 checked, also with no ethx checked, both produces the same message.
I tried to edit the options of the interface object. Is this the right place? Seems to have some unresoleved depencies, but where?

Hello Bob,

sorry for the late answer, i had some days vacation DDD

The FW is running on 9.306, was the revision when we made the upgrade. I will patch later, when the bridge-issue is solved.

I attached the Error-Message when i try to free the bridge by setting it back to Ethernet only.
Eth0 and Eth2 where checked. But the same message appears when only eth0 is checked and i try to revers it.

I hope this helps a bit.

I also made a support call to our vendorer, he is also trying to find a solution.

I would Up2Date to 9.308 and try again.  I've created a bridge on 9.306, but experimented with removing a bridge on 9.307.

Just update to 9.308 and I cannot delete bridge. I only have 2 NICs on Sophos UTM Home.
I want to convert my bridge to ethernet.
Attached, you can see the error.

Is there any way to delete bridge via command line and assign the same IP to eth1? I do not want to reset UTM to factory default and lose all the settings. I am having a look at this thread

Luk, you can't delete the bridge while you still have two VLANs defined on it.  You must move them to another NIC first.

In my case I have do delete all vlan and lose all settings associated.
