Memory Usage of 9.3 compared to 9.2?

Hi,

I have an UTM220 HA Cluster running on version 9.209-8. During the 9.2 releases the memory usage got to the limit of this hardware. About 90-100% swap are used today. Is there any significant change in memory usage with the 9.3 release?

    In my installation the memory usage increased slightly (about 5%).
    You might have to to a little tweaking if running out of ressources (or consider switching to a pair of the new SG series)...

    Yes, my small Home-UTM shows around 5% more memory. And (idle) CPU also went up by roughly same amount.

    Yes, it uses more memory, 4GB is minimum theese days to get away from the swapping, unfortunately does the UTM 220 not support 4GB in the software [:(]

    So some time in the future (if you will use all functions of the UTM), look for a replacement device ex. doing a Totalprotect bundle upgrade...

    it isn't a software issue it is the hardware in this case..[:)]

    I am seeing a 20% increase of memory usage and the memory leak when using the Avira settings for AV scan engine use, versus Sophos.  

    Just some FYI on that, not sure why, but it is consistently seen when I change back and forth, so I've left it at Sophos for now.

    I'd like to upgrade to 9.3x, but I am afraid that performances will decrease.

    We have:
    Web Proxy for 3 interfaces
    SMTP proxy (350 received emails/day)
    IPS enabled
    2 concurrent ssl vpn
    4 wi-fi network
    8 access points (5 ap30, 3 ap10)
    80 active ip
    1 mail server
    1 web server


    From reports:
    CPU: avg:6% max 60%
    memory: avg 67% max 72
    swap: avg 54% max 60

    Do you think I will degrade performances upgrading to 9.3?
