Licens Renewal Issue

Hi all

I am trying to renew my License for my UTM 9, which ran out on 31.01.2014, and I have been trying to write to the nsglicensing@sophos.com, for some help on the renewal process, but I keep getting the following error on the emails I send:

: connect to mx1.sophos.com[145.253.124.137]:25:
    Connection timed out

Or the latest:

(connect to mx5.sophos.com[195.171.192.119]:25: Connection timed out)
nsglicensing@sophos.com

I don't know how to get in touch with the License guys if I cant send them emails.

Looking forward to hear from any one who can help me on this issue.

    Hi, can anyone tell me how to clear the IP List of the UTM used for the license count?
    My friends have WLAN access when they come to visit me. But some of them are comming 1 time a year or so. So, are these clients also counted forever?

    They're only counted for a week.

    My very old (from 2008 [;)]) 100 IP home license will expire in 2 weeks. I now have contacted licensing support. I'll report the result [:)]

    Here's the result: In the first try licensing support forgot to renew the wireless protection subscription (needed to use an Astaro access point). All other subscriptions had been renewed until 2017. After complaining this I got a new license and now all subscriptions are active until 2017 including 100 IPs. [:D]

    Thanks to the sophos licensing support, i got my old 100ip V7 home lic renewed after i kindly asked for it. But in this new "V8" license the Web Application Security and Wireless Security is deactivated.

    When i install a brandnew license with 50 ips only, i see this / all options enabled.
    Should i ask again to have the license reviewed to get the Web Application Security
    enabled ...

    Since wireless sec ist not important but i run an exchange2010 behind the FW ... 

    and .. can i use the new license on V9 as well ?

    Yes, you should reply to support and complain about the missing subscription. Same as on my side [;)]
    License file will also work in V9 btw...

    They renewed my 2007 100 IP license for 3 years without any problems also. I can do fine with 50 IP license at home but the 100 IP license felt special[:P] and I am glad sophos was as generous as Astaro used to be in giving away special licenses.

    Lucky!  As a former long time users, I am missing Astaro/Sophos on my gateway and was hoping at some time they would just up from 50 to 100 or offer these 100 ip liceneses to power users.  Heck I was even willing to pay a nominal upgrade fee as a home user, but I have had zero luck with Sophos support.  They did say they would forward the info on, but never heard anything.

    first i wasn't lucky with my renewal request.
    But i kindly asked again, beause i knew some people were successful here on this board.
    And then my request was forwarded and i received my new 100 ip license by email [[:)]]

    I know to some it may sound a little bit childish, but like billybob said, 
    It feels ... Special [[:)]]

    Btw.
    Does the home license allow to join a domain/ad, like ms server 2012 / sbs2011 ?
    I tried that back in V7 .. it worked but then i discovered there were certain limitations
    what let me regret the joining... had to reinstall the ASG without ad joining.

    Can't remember what this limitations were
