Manual up load of Up2Dtae file Fails

You can't go back that far with configs.

What is wrong with the 8.2 iso.

Try using the 30 day evaluation period to build a basic ASG and then download the up2dates for each version until you get to the current build. Then apply your config.

I have been using astaro since ver 5/6 ish with no problems, so not much to say......

This was all brought about by multiple hardware failures.....i guess that is something that i will have to sort out for the future, in the past i have just done the rebuild.

I only had 8.001 iso on hand to do the rebuild,  as i had kept up to date ( near enough ) with the up2date and had only kept latest and near backups of the config ( obviously a mistake ).

The problem is that i can manualy download the up2date files but the firewall will not upload them and they are not apearing in the up2date .

I have downloaded the latest version so if i cannot get this fixed....its a rebuild ( again ).

But definitly want to understand why i cannot do the manual update.

I'm with Ian on starting with a new CDROM, but, if you have to continue from where you are, ...

I wonder if this isn't a licensing issue.  Is the license date such that it still allows Up2Dates?

You aren't using an ACC to cache Up2Dates, are you?  You might try deactivating that if so.

If this is a home-use situation, have you tried downloading from the command line?

OK, I am officialy confused.

I checked the up2data this morning and there were the updates....

OK si I went through the updates till I got to 8.203 all went well

then I tryed to restore my backup from the previous firewall config which was 8.203 and still the same error.

the problem seams to be with the file upload from my pc to the firewall, as I dont actualy start the restore till the file is there.

Help as there was a lot of effort to get to the previous firewall config.

the PC that the backups are stored on is a Win 7 32bit......if that helps

OK, so your firmware is at 8.203?  You put an unencrypted backup in the root directory of a USB memory stick, insert it in the Astaro, reboot, and what happens?
