Hi Eric, please be a bit more specific and if possible include a screenshot of what is only showing some much ram available.
The ASG webadmin/dashboard only shows memory used by applications, not the total use eg doesn't include any caching. So if you use top to see uitilisation then the ram value will be different to the dashboard value.
I would add "what does the system say it has for RAM at post"
"Is the RAM maybe shared with anything else like the onboard video or nics"
"What happens when you pull out one of the sticks of RAM, does it change how much RAM is shown"
If possible kick out a copy of your hardware using "lshw" from the command line.
BIOS is the latest version. It is shared with onboard video, but that wouldn't use up almost 2 Gb of RAM. I'll try to boot from a linux CD sometime over the weekend and see what it shows.
I finally found the solution to my RAM issue.
In the BIOS for the server was a setting called "OS Install", it was set to ON.
This limits the RAM available to the OS to 256Mb. Once I set it to OFF all 2Gb was available.
