Problem installing ASL on a VIA C3 box

I tried to install ASL 5.202 on a small box but it hangs during "Hardware is beeing detected". What can i do, to get it running? I already tried 4.008 which I had on hand - same result.

System configuration as follows:
Mainboard LExSystems CV860A
CPU VIA C3 533 MHz Low Power (Eden)
Chipset VIA PLE133 (VT8601A, VT82C686B) with integrated S3 Graphics
RAM 256 MB PC133 SDRAM
HDD 40 GB Samsung 2.5"
NIC 3x Realtek 8100B

  • The LEX Light box works okay at least until 5.050 or something - haven't tried with 5.200. The NICs are perhaps different from my setup, but that shouldn't be a problem. Did you try using another CD drive, that could sometimes cause a problem too?
