Up2Date Service fails

Hi

my ASL V5.017 can't do any updates over the internet!!!
There always appear the message - Up2Date Server are not available! The Authentication works and the license is valid!!

Any ideas???

    is there an other firewalling machine before the astaro ?
    if so plz open port 443 and 80 for ASL.

    No, the Firewall is direct connected to the internet!

    Hi medic,

    tihs could be a temporary problem ?!?
    Observed the same behaviour yesterday, think there could be a connection problem with the Up2Date servers himself ?

    hm, download your next up2date-package from downloads.astaro.org and install manuall. than try again for the next up2dates, please.

    I have alredy downloaded the update file from the ftp - same effect!!
    is it possible do download the up2date files of the virus and ips system?

    hi!
    afaik we cannot download virus and Ips updates manually. is there any upstream proxy server like on ur isp side to serve you internet to be mentioned, if that the case u can use the upstream option now available only for up2dates in V5.

    No, our isp doesn´t have a proxy to serve us!
    This error occoured after a new installation of the
    asl!!! bevore installation this option works fine!
    i also have tried to reinstall the ASL 3 times wit other image files.

    I am right, if i say you reinstall your asl, import the backupfile and has the same problem?

    Ok, on one of our customer was the same problem. to resolve i reinstall and do NOT import the backup file, however do reconfigure all.

    now it works great. dont know what exact the problem was, but the "error" is include in the backup [;)]
