[8.165][BUG][OPEN] Existing USB devices not get updated on the Endpoint Security

Hi All

It seems that existing USB devices don't get updated on the Device section on the Endpoint agent . I have tried to update the policy and even inserted a secondary USB but nothing did the trick. THe secondary USB was correctly identified by the first wasn't

    The agent sends an event containing all the connected device(first thing after the agent was installed and registered with the ASG), then an event for every new device you connect.

    Can you tell me what kind of usb devices weren't detected?

    It would also help to check the log file from the agent. To get all the information please uninstall the agent, create an epsec.log file under your system partition(usually C:\), install a new agent and after everything shows up in webadmin(or it doesn't) please send me the epsec.log file.

    I've managed to replicate to problem... Here are the steps

    1)Disable the Endpoint Security
    2)Unistall Agent and reboot pc
    3)Plugin two USB stick 
    4)Install agent 64 bit (1.0.2.3)
    5) Agent not able to get the new policy and update itself

    I have then killed the process and restarted it. No agents are being detected still

    Another thing I can see from the logs is that the Agent is trying to connect to eps.geo.astaro.com on port 80. This won't be possible as I am not allowing the traffic throught and I can therefore see the block on the firewall. I would expect the program to use the proxy (I am using standard mode proxy)

    Current block:  192.168.2.3  :  49553
    → 
    50.18.63.165  :  80

    Allowing the traffic did the trick.Now the agent is detected. All the devices are being detected as well..The question is why the program doesn't use the proxy

    Yes, proxy settings are correct in IE .  All other application work fine
