[7.912][NOTABUG][CLOSED] Scheduled Up2Date Update Not Working

I updated my 7.912 to 7.920 using a scheduled update with no problems.  Are there any errors in the up2date log?

The system log may have some hints too...

Unfortunately I am not proficient in interpreting the log files so here are the files from the day I got the notice about a new update and then scheduled it for later that day as well as the log from yesterday when I manually updated the firmware.

Thanks for providing the logs. As far as i can tell, there's nothing suspicious in there. So we have to look at another place: Can you please post the system log and the fallback log from around 18:00 from that day?

Early today (US East Coast time) I scheduled an update to 7.921 for 12:15 today (about three hours later). It is now after 12:15 and the update is still in queue.

Attached are the log files requested and screenshots showing the current system time and the scheduled update time.

Do you have a current version of the V8 beta license?  The Up2date log has several "Fatal: no valid license found, disabling system up2date" messages in it.  Maybe try grabbing a new copy of the beta license and install it, then try the update again?

Yes, Jack is absolutely right. The up2date is off unless you have a valid license installed.

My day started yesterday with me unable to access the Astaro beta unit since I did not have a valid license. I sent a beta bug request about this since I had been updating beta's since the first beta without any issues. I got an e-mail reply about a change in licensing model that just occurred with the current beta release I had on the test unit. I was referred to a link for the beta license which I immediately associated with my test unit.

Once I was able to then login with the beta license I got a message about new firmware available. That is when I scheduled an automatic update for later that day. This is the update I referred to in yesterday's e-mail that did not occur. So the short answer to the question of whether I had a valid license when the up-2-date was scheduled is YES.

A copy of my license is attached.

I will schedule another update for later today to see if that works any different.

I assume you have double checked the date, time and timezone settings.  If the update does not work when scheduled, please post a fresh set of logs from this round and we'll see what's happening.
