[7.470][BUG][ACK] Drop down box size issue

Great call!  After working with WebAdmin for so long, I'd learned to get around that, but, you're right.

I like what the developers did with the popup lists of networks and services on the left, but that's probably overkill for this since there's plenty of room to widen the window.

They just need to make the dropdown box the same width as the longest text line for that box.  It would be easier to read, and look more polished.

This is a known Problem with IE (I guess you used that one). Yes it is ugly but we don' t have enough space at all places to just increase width of the dropdown menus.

In Firefox, the menu that drops down is maximized correctly even if the initial dropdown menu is smaller. So please consider another browser as an easy workaround for this specific problem.

Fixing this for good is a no go for v7.500 because it involves replacing a whole widget that is being used at many places.

This is actually not an astaro issue, but a bug in IE which they kept over all versions. As trollvottel already mentioned, the issue doesn't exist on Firefox as well as not on Safari (checked also some unsupported browsers, and all of them looks fine). Nevertheless, we will try to work-around the problem.

I use Firefox on all PC's except for the one that I am testing Astaro with.  Go figure.  [:)]

My test box is a straight install of XP... and then I installed DeepFreeze.  I use this box for the start of all my beta testing.  Some things require a reboot, which means I start beta testing those programs in a VM.  Later they all move to a VM with many other programs installed. Since Astaro does not install anything to XP, I chose not to build a VM just to interface with it. I guess I should have!
