Not able to Install Beta [NOTANISSUE]

On the test system I used, since it had only 512MB (I wanted to see how it would work on a low end system), it did grind for a very long time during the upload / apply phase.  Due to limited memory (512MB) it was going to swap during the attempt... I just let it grind for a while, and checked on it -- it finally got the package ready for install.  Maybe reboot and try again?

how long did yours grind?

Must've been 20 minutes, maybe 30.  I was testing it on a unit at home.. I just went and started making dinner and checked on it after a while.  When I check the dashboard -- it had gone from 7% swap to about 55% ... that's where the grinding came from, with GPG running on that big file.  I crossed my fingers and hit the install button, and it did fine, rebooted, and started working (well, I had to stop and restart HTTP Proxy, as I've reported previously, but it pretty much started working).  I say reboot the unit, upload the up2date, hit apply, and wait a good while.  Then go back and install.

I have downloaded the Up2Date package 2x and applied it to my test firewall.  When I do I see it upload, I press Apply, and watch the CPU jump up to 100% for a few mins but it never tells me that it is available to actually apply.

Is there something that I am missing?

Also check that the md5 sum for the up2dat package is the same as the one posted on astaro.

The first time I downloaded the up2date package I did not check, and the same thing happened to me.

 which enlight the problem?

I finally did get it installed.  Is this the log you want?

Since you got it installed this thread can be closed, but JFYI:

As soon as a file is uploaded via WebAdmin, it will be checked and unpacked first, which can take quite a bit of time on slow machines. During that time, no installation can be triggered, and it won't be displayed in the webadmin since it is not even sure that it is an up2date package you uploaded [:P]

this means that the package is valid (gpg verified), and that the additional information has been unpacked correctly. It will be shown in the webadmin as 'ready to install' with all information like requires reboot, fixed IDs, additional information.

A tip for those with slow machines; SSH into the box and watch the processes with top ... when GPG falls out of the list, you should  be able to apply it... that's what takes all the time to unpack / etc.
