XG Home interface issues

I switched from UTM 9.x to the (for me) new XG Home.

Its an old PC working under UTM perfect with

- 2x 1port 1Gb Cards (cant remember from which company, nothing on the cards)

- 1x 4port 1Gb Card HP NC364T

Now, after installing XG Home, the boot screen shows (see below):

Total number of interfaces: 6

but i cant connect to the firewall on any port, doesn’t matter which card.

Only if i remove the 4port card i can connect to the firewall, just want know if its the Intel problem?

be irritated because the Boot screen shows correct number of interfaces.

  • Sorry for the delay (waiting everytime a long time because of 2TB HDD),

i have done several installations, in my case it accept no connections on install till boot screen or only Lan on Slot1 and WAN on Slot2 to connect to the webinterface.

none worked with the 1x 4port 1Gb Card HP NC364T!

Always boot shows correct number of interfaces, but on no port/interface you can connect to the firewall.

i found another card, 1x1GBit noname, work well with the 3x 1GBit cards, but i need more Ports. Disappointed

  • Check on the CLI via ethtool, which interfaces are actually connected. Could be a mismatch of expected and actual interfaces.

  • this is shown without the 1x 4port 1Gb Card HP NC364T on Port1

this is shown with the 1x 4port 1Gb Card HP NC364T on Port1

this is shown with the 1x 4port 1Gb Card HP NC364T on Port6
