XG blocking Firefox Address Bar Search Engine Google after some time

Hello guys,

we added a new sophos XG firewall to our network and run into a weird issue. For some reason the firefox search is hanging after some time.
We are using the newest Firefox ESR version and we only experienced this issue with firefox. All other browsers like MS Edge, Chrome, Brave etc. are fine and never hang.

By hanging I don't mean that firefox.exe stops running .. its simply you wanna use the address bar search for something and nothing happens.

I found this 6 years old post but it doesn't really help me. Any ideas? Thanks already!

    Do you use the Sophos Endpoint as well? Does Google work?

    Yes we are using Sophos Endpoints with XDR aswell. In Firefox the Search Engine google works fine for the first 5-10 searches but then its going to hang and the only way how to unstuck it would be to restart the firefox or use a bookmark and hope its running fine again.

    Firewall = Sophos XGS 4500 Security Appliance

    Firmware = 18.5.3 MR-3
