XG blocking Firefox Address Bar Search Engine Google after some time

Question

Hello guys, 
 we added a new sophos XG firewall to our network and run into a weird issue. For some reason the firefox search is hanging after some time. We are using the newest Firefox ESR version and we only experienced this issue with firefox. All other browsers like MS Edge, Chrome, Brave etc. are fine and never hang. 
 By hanging I don't mean that firefox.exe stops running .. its simply you wanna use the address bar search for something and nothing happens. 
 
 I found this 6 years old post but it doesn't really help me. Any ideas? Thanks already!

sounds like a familiar issue with the endpoint, eventually in combination with the HTTPS Decryption certificate on the firewall. 
 You would see this, when the Endpoints install IPS/NTP updates. Check the logs on that side.

 Currently our Firefox is sometimes just hanging on google search and takes about one minute to show something.
