Upgrade XG 210 from 17.5.14 to 18

Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue while updating a non-production Firewall from 17.5.14 to 18. First of all, no v18 updates apeears on the upgrade panel, so I did download the v18 firmware from MuySophos site. The v18 firmware is upload successfully to XG, but when I perform the reboot or reset with factory defaults with the new v18 firmware, the firewall seems to reboot correctly but with v17.5.14 again. It's no possible to boot the Firewall with v18. I tried with all v18 releases available on the portal, 18.0.1, 18.0.2, .3

I checked the compatibility table and this firewall can support v18.

Anyone has experienced this kind of problem?

    Hello Omar,

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

    You should try to upgrade first your XG to 17.5. MR6 and up I would recommend 17.5 MR14 and then from there try moving to v18.0 MR3

    Just want to let everyone know, upgrading  from v17.5.5 MR-5 to v17.5.5 MR14 and then to v18.0.3 MR3 worked as expected. HA did not break and it was a smooth upgrade. All the firmware's mentioned above were automatically recommended by the firewalls using the firmware upgrade builtin feature. SNMP MIB's are broken so there are not many stats such as memory utilization you can pull off the firewall.
