Outbound email failure Mail Spool

Hi 

For the last 3 days our XG in MTA mode most outbound emails get stuck in queue and end up 'failure'.

Some get processed hours later, some not. If I manually click 'retry' the stucked emails are sent. 

 

This XG has been running for months with no email problems at all.

 

I have opened a high severity ticket at Sophos but nothing has come from them so far.

 

Basically I have to monitor the queue 24/7 to make sure our mails are going out.

 

Any tips ? Thanks!

  • Support took a look. But since I wasn't able to reproduce the error, the conclusion was that XG worked as it should.

    That's after loosing half a days business mails, spend 3 days manually retrying all outbound emails. No attempts to explain why this happened. On a system running for 7 years with no network, DNS etc changes.

    Once again we are left with a note to call support if it start again. I have not trust at all in the XG product or Sophos support (nothing personal H_Patel - at least you tried. Support didn't even ask for log files).

    For now I just hope emails doesn't stop in queue again.
