Is there any way to check the log of captive portal?
I need to know why is that happening.

Would you please elaborate little more about issue? What exact issue you are facing in terms of Captive portal Disconnecting?
Do you mean users are getting logged out from captive portal?
Also Is the disconnection issue getting observed by other users which are logged in via other mechanism (CAA, STAS) at the same time when Captive portal user face the issue?

It seems your appliance affected with known issue NC-51881 which we have observed with MR-9 firmware.
Please log a support case to apply the patch and it will required restart of authentication service once for changes into effect.
NC-51881 fixed taken in MR-10 version and as of now release date for MR-10 not yet confirmed.

MR-10 may going to release by end of this month as per latest update however it may get delayed as well.
You may refer https://community.sophos.com/products/xg-firewall/b/blog and once you get MR-10 release note you may upgrade your XG with required precaution ( like backup of current config etc).
