Firewall lost connection to Sophos Central

Over the past few weeks two of my Sophos XG firewalls (latest build) email me with the following error: "Firewall lost connection to Sophos Central".  At the sites the Internet and the VPN tunnels are not effected and are still working.  Sometimes I get several of these messages in a row then they go away for a day or so then come back.  Has anyone seen this before and know how to fix it?  Thanks.

  • It is an issue in the Central Alerting system itself. 

    So basically you cannot simply install a patch on your XG firewall. 

    And such patches need to be carefully deployed because it affects all our customers. I understand the frustration about this issue. 

    You can disable the email alerts in the meantime until this is fixed.
