IP Reputation whitelist?

Got steamrolled by Sophos IP reputation that started rejecting on 1 IP from our SPAM provider so about 60% of clean messages weren't delivered.  I have a whitelist with that IP but apparently IP repution ignores that.  I was abled to turn reputation off and resend the rejected emails.

Any way to Whitelist even from IP reputation?

  • Hey

You are able to perform this whitelisting (in MTA mode) by adding the IP as per this KB. From the XG Admin Help: "You can specify IP addresses, FQDNs, and email addresses to receive emails over SMTP/S connections to bypass RDNS, greylisting, IP reputation, recipient verification, as well as, scanning for inbound-outbound spam, DLP, and RBL."

    Regards,

  • I have a XG85 and I guess we don't have that.

We do have the SPAM Check Exceptions under Email->General.  I have added the names of the servers there.  No problem right now but I don't know if that fixed it or if Sophos IP Reputation fixed their problem.  I went to Sophos Labs page about 30 minutes after I noticed it happened and entered the IPs and it came back clear.
