  • Hello vospersIT,

kaspersky.  versions 6 through to 10

as far as I can see in the list (linked from List of third-party security software removed) you must have at least two different products to get the range 6-10. Anyway, all sorts of errors isn't very specific and :smileytongue: suggesting all sorts of solutions might not be very helpful. For a start please see the Troubleshooting the CRT section in Sophos Competitor Removal Tool: significant files and information. It links to further articles for certain errors.

  • hello QC

they were running kaspersky security center 10.1.249 witch was managering all 400+ pc's. xp having 6 and 8 and windows 7 having 6, 7 and 10.1/10.2

what is strange is a lot of the network has run the uninstall ok its just the odd few that give errors like 00000049 and 0000002e or b.

i dont see how i need additional config on them as i rolled out the setting useing GPO weeks before i rolled out sophos.

  • Hello vospersIT,

    00000049

is from CRT, the odd few out of 400+ is not totally uncommon (e.g. even a manual uninstall might fail because of a slightly corrupt installation of the third-party product). As for the 0000002x errors - components other than the "GPO settings" (e.g. DNS, VPN) might adversely affect deployment from the console. Often they affect only deployment from the console and unless you absolutely need this one of the alternate install methods might be an acceptable workaround.
