Enterprise console not recognizing installed systems

I bound AD systems to the enterprise console, and several machines are still greyed out, and I have confirmed they have sophos installed and are looking at the appropriate server.  I have attempted to run updates as well as change policies to attemtp to activate them in the console, but no\thing works. Also, some systems are not taking the policy transfer, I'm thinking its all related.

  • Hello jab818,

are looking at the appropriate server

do you talk about the updating policy or the Network Communications Report? Looks like RMS is not working as it should.

several machines are still greyed out

Do they have something in common (a certain OU, a specific network segment, OS version)? Are the required ports (see: Summary of port configurations) open? Might be necessary to have a look at the RMS logs (in addition to the three mentioned in the article there's the ClientMRInit-...log in the system TEMP directory which is the first you should check).

  • I have an issue with our Sysadmin blocking access to the /3 folder even to other admins. So i am not able to view the RMS reports. I did discover that I once i disabled AD sync I was able to find some of the machines in a separate container in the manager. I have one XP machine that is still not updating its information as well as a single mac. I've forced restarts for both systems and neither are refreshing as active SOPHOS installs.
