Alert Notification Emails?

Hi there,

We have 20+ companies all using Sophos Endpoint, Intercept-X, etc, deployed through Sophos Central. When I log into Sophos Central Partner, I can see all the alerts, but how do I configure email notifications?

For example, I'm the only person in our office that has access to the Partner dashboard, but the rest of our technicians need to know when any of our client's get a virus, etc. Is there any way to configure email notifications either under each client's Sophos Central portal, or more ideally, in our Sophos Central Partner portal?

    Apparantly , only the administrators of the accounts are able to receive the Email alerts regarding Medium or High Alerts

    • Sends alerts to all administrators. To see details of administrators, go to System Settings > Role Management.
    • Does not send alerts if an alert for the same type of event has been sent within the previous 24 hours.

     You may opt for API configuration on your system to fetch the details from the sophos central for configuration and details you may refer the KB article https://sophos.com/kb/125398 this will contain additional links for additional information .

    That's terrible. So in order to allow my technicians to receive alerts, I need to add them all to our Sophos Central account, and make them all Administrators?

    Is there any plan to allow email notifications, using custom SMTP settings?

  • I agree, I have almost the exact same setup, and the fact that only administrators get emails alerts with no sort of customization, or custom smtp servers makes no sense.

    My workaround right now is to create a fake super admin who has an email address that is an alias of one of our other email addresses.  As you can imagine this has its downsides and is less than an elegant solution.  But at least it lets me funnel all alerts from all clients to one place.

    Hopefully a change to this is in the works.

    I managed to create a Super Admin for our Support mailbox, for the first couple of clients, but most of them give me the following error when attempting to create that Super Admin:

    Do you know if there's an easier way create a Super Admin for all Sophos Central accounts, rather than having to log into each of them one-at-a-time, and creating the same user over and over?
