Maybe. the latest release on Central has the ability to change the email alert frequency of a particular alert.
Open the console and drill down into one of them. Under the Actions area you should see and Email Alert box where you can change the frequency.
This might do the trick.

I received the following from Sophos Support about this issue yesterday.
Sophos is investigating reports of some Central customers receiving false positive XG Firewall connection alerts on their dashboard. This issue is marked as BUG with the ID 2046 and our team is investigating on this.
"Firewall has not checked in with Sophos Central for the past (x) minutes"

I saw somewhere where the fix to Central was to occur this month. Oh here's the KB (tentatively the 15th)...
