Uninstallation Failed, the MSI Terminated unsuccessfully

Where do I start with working out why this is happening please?

This is simply running the uninstaller from Control Panel with tamper protection off.

I've even re-installed over the top and still get this.

Please help me with the following:

1. Which Sophos Product are you trying to uninstall?

2. What is the Version of the Sophos Product?

3. What is the OS on the computer?

Hi Haridoss, I'm not in front of the computer but it will be the latest version of Sophos Central as I was uninstalling after an update.

OS is Windows 7 x64

Oddly it did uninstall without error when I did the same thing from add/remove but was using the default local "Administrator" account rather than an account that has local administrator rights.

Could you point me to a current uninstallation script/command that can be run as a SYSTEM scheduled task to uninstall Central silently please?

Hi Paul,

I am assuming that you are trying to uninstall Sophos Endpoint from your machine. You did mention the error during the uninstall right? Is it possible that you could share the error message that you received?

Please give a try to the KBA How to uninstall using command line or batch file

Also, It would help us if you could share the Sophos Anti-Virus Uninstall.txt log from c:\Windows\Temp
