Basically you clean up manually by creating a custom scan (open Preferences). Configure it (Edit scan) by adding the required Scan Items (if you want to do it for a special folder like your .Trash go to MacHD->Users->you and type .trash in the search) and setting the necessary Options (When a threat is found: Clean up threat and If cleanup fails: Delete threat). Run the scan.

Folks I am MAC newbe, I understand the concept of creating a custom scan, I am kinda embarassed to say that
I am not sure how take the files listed in the results of the inital scan and move them to my custom scan folder...
Tried dragging and clicking , then i just stare at it like my dog stares at this foood when i change brands.....
Any direction would be appreciated.....
I am new to Mac also, and also having problems understanding how to manually clean up a Mal/EncPk-HI threat. I tried dragging it to the Custom Scans with no luck. I tried finding it in files with no luck. I can't even expand the location enough to look deeper. Help!!!
First off: Nice software... It found a Windows virus in a Zip file on my Bootcamp partition that Microsoft AV ignored.
My only concern is how Sophos truncates the location of the file when malware is found. Sophos needs to fix this in future versions! I need to see the the complete path, or simply a way to open the enclosing folder to remove the file. If the file is buried deep in the system, as this file was, there is no way to find it if Sophos cannot quarantine it, save for running a very long scan or doing the work-arounds listed here.
Good: Excellent malware detection
Fail: Removing the malware. Not Mac-like in simplicity.
