web application filtering suddenly stop working

Are you using appliance ? Software install ?
What about RAM status or CPU ?

We are using software base and core i5 processor and 2 GB RAM,Cpu is normal but RAM utilization is high up to  90% so we planning to upgrade.

Hi ,

The high RAM utilization can case that.
Please add more RAM.
If you are using dual AV scann replace it with single and change to avira not Sophos .
After changing restart the proxy from command line or if you don't how to do it reboot the computer.
But most important , add RAM.

When the ram is full it will happen.
Add more ram if you can and fallow my instructions please , then inform here if it solved that for you.

Yes I did , but maybe it was already fixed but I am not sure , I will need to ask the support.
Sophos AV use to spike RAM and SWAP.
I am almost sure it was already fixed but worth a try to see if it helps.

I think it's fixed.  My reason for using Avira is that I want a different AV at the periphery than is used on the internal devices. More and more of my customers are moving to Sophos AV with Endpoint Protection.
