Categorization Failed

Hello together,

I recognize that I have several "Categorization Failed" in the log file. What does it mean? Can I do something to solve the problem? Why I get this error?

    If you think you're getting a lot more than before, Disable/Enable Web Filtering.  Did that change the behavior?  Without seeing an entire log line or two, it's hard to say if this is normal.

    Are you using Endpoint Web Control (and therefore have SXL) or not (and therefore using CFFS) for categorization?

    Note:  There is a known problem where some things reported by Endpoint will show up in reports as Categorization Failed even through they are not - however the logs are correct.

    Thank you for the answer.

    I'm working with Endpoint Protection and Web Filtering. Where can i check the SXL or the CFFS? The Webfilter is activ but on the Endpoint Protection is Webcontrol not activ.

    Do I have something on my config?

    I don't know if the behavior have changed, because i recognize the error only know. Do you need a Webfilter Log? If yes, can i send you this on privat message?

    cc get http sc_local_db
    should be none.

    cc get http use_sxl_urid
    If 1 you are using sxl
    If 0 you are using cffs

    In 9.2 this setting is changed depending on whether you turn endpoint web control on or off.  In 9.3 it is always set by default.


    Is this happening for all requests or only for a few?

    You can post here just a single line of the failure from the log - no need to have the whole file.
