UTM9 127.0.0.1 Blocked

We have a user that is trying to run Adobe Edge CS6 that starts by loading a splash page thats a 127.0.0.1 address. We are receiving the follow error message stating 'invalid argument'

With the proxy turned off, we have no problems with the splash page loading and the software loads without issue.

We have tried making the 127.0.0.1 address exempt on the local machine to stop it from being passed to the Proxy, this has not resolved the issue.

If we run the web filter on the UTM against the 127.0.0.1 address with the users IP and Username it says that it is allowed to pass.

Has anyone come across this problem before? At the moment the user is having to turn the proxy off to open the software, then turn it back on to use the internet.

We use Transparent mode with Active Directory SSO. Please see attached for screen shots of the wireshark aswell (I couldnt see any redirects to external website through the splash screen)

    That should have worked.  Please show a picture of 'Proxy Settings' for that machine, and confirm that the Adobe app is using Windows Internet options settings.

    Please see attached for example of how the user has the proxy setup. If we turn the automatically detect proxy settings off this will resolve this issue.

    Did you try to deselect Automatically detect proxy and define proxy address manually ?
    Then click on Advanced and in Do not use proxy for...type 127.0.0.1.

    Yes that has been tried. Its like the Adobe Edge software does not recognise the exception list within internet explorer. 

    I've tried speaking to adobe and they have not returned any valid infomation.
    Is there any way to make the UTM route the traffic back?

    No there isn't.  A little Networking 101.

    127.0.0.1 is the address for local loopback/localhost, that is networked machines use the address to specify themselves...every machine uses that address, so it is non-routeable between machines.  

    You need to get this fixed on that one workstation.

    Thanks. Sorry I am aware that 127.0.0.1 is local - bad day.

    OK, So on the users machine I have just disabled Automatically detect proxy settings added in the exception and this has infact allowed Adobe Edge to load correctly.

    However, talking to a college we believe it was previously configured like this and the user experienced issues browsing web pages.

    Seems to be very much a case of 6 of one half a dozen of another.
