Unable to open some ftp site

Hello Team,

I have ASG 8.309 / Standard Mode Proxy. Ftp is allowed in the "Allowed target services".

FTP Proxy is disable.(Try to enable and allow my PC's IP in the same but that didn't worked for me too.)

So I am able to open the ftp://download.astaro.com/

But not able to open ftp://live.sarlatech.com/ (Which is opening in the open internet)

And I am getting the below web-filtering log for the same.

Can any one guide me that how can we open such website in which i can upload the files too or i am missing something.

    I think I understand now.

    First of all, Web Browsers such as Internet Exporer and Firefox don't do true FTP.  They do something called FTP over HTTP.  Therefore when you use IE or FF to go to a ftp:// site you are using the httpproxy over port 8080 (in standard mode).

    You are using Windows Explorer which I think is acting like a FTP client going over port 21 or 22.  You may want to try using a full fledged FTP client such as Filezilla or WinSCP - you may get better FTP support and error messages.

    Since you are using Standard Mode, I am assuming for a moment that you are not using the UTM as a firewall.  That means that FTP traffic is not going through the UTM, it is going through whatever gateway/firewall you are using.  You'll have to find and fix the problem there.

    If you are using your UTM as a firewall as well and the FTP traffic is going through, you may need to enable FTP proxy and check your firewall configuration to make sure that FTP is allowed.  I don't know much about this, maybe someone else can help.
