Unable to open some ftp site

Hello Team,

I have ASG 8.309 / Standard Mode Proxy. Ftp is allowed in the "Allowed target services".

FTP Proxy is disable.(Try to enable and allow my PC's IP in the same but that didn't worked for me too.)

So I am able to open the ftp://download.astaro.com/

But not able to open ftp://live.sarlatech.com/ (Which is opening in the open internet)

And I am getting the below web-filtering log for the same.

Can any one guide me that how can we open such website in which i can upload the files too or i am missing something.

The sire requires authentication so try the following format : ftp://user: password@domain.com

Is it the shortcoming of the proxy ??

Why can't we have the pop up like i am getting on the open internet ??

I agree that this is suspicious behavior, Yagnesh. Please open a ticket with Sophos Support and inform us about what they decide.

I tried 8.311 in Standard Mode and got a login prompt for that site.

If you are running an older version, try updating.

If you are running the same version I don't know what is wrong.

If you are testing, please note that ftp://live.sarlatech.com/ requires login but http://live.sarlatech.com/ does not.

Hi Team,

Here is the snap of the ftp done behind the ASG version 9.1x.

Still in that case I was not able to open the direct ftp website.PFA snap of the same.

I will update after logging the case to the support.

Currently running the latest version of UTM and the proxy in dual mode.
The ftp site pops up a userid and password prompt when I click on the link in you original post.

Can you be more specific ?

I am using "windows explorer" (Windows 7) , not getting any pop up.
As I am getting pop ups in the IE/Mozilla/Chrome.

ASG Version 9.106-17 & ASG 8.309

Specifically,
MAC Maverick running FF 24, I get a login popup
W7 64 running IE I get a login popup.
W8.1 64 running FF I get a login popup.
