Blocking Facebook Apps

Hi,

I am trying to block facebook apps using Sophos UTM Web Protection Application control rules. i want to block facebook apps and messaging to prevent users sending messages and posting. However, cant make it work. [:(]

I already created Application control rules (facebook apps and facebook messaging to a specific users.

did i miss something? any advice will help.

    attached is the screenshot of application control rule
    AD SSO standard and transparent proxy profiles


    Facebook and its apps use https...unless you have https scanning enabled in the web proxy you aren't going to be able to block Facebook or its apps
