Blocking Facebook Apps

Hi,

I am trying to block facebook apps using Sophos UTM Web Protection Application control rules. i want to block facebook apps and messaging to prevent users sending messages and posting. However, cant make it work. [:(]

I already created Application control rules (facebook apps and facebook messaging to a specific users.

did i miss something? any advice will help.

hi im new to this sophos utm 9 home edition, it seems i cant bypass blocking a specific pc from web filtering..does anyone knows how to do this by details cause i have already tried evrything?i need your help guys tanx

Facebook and its apps use https...unless you have https scanning enabled in the web proxy you aren't going to be able to block Facebook or its apps

Did you also block social media under the web filter? Also what are your firewall rules? Also do you have a partner to work with?

under web filter social media (Social Networking) is allowed
all i need to block is
Facebook Apps
Facebook Messages
Facebook Video
Facebook Video Chat
and allow facebook
