Web Filtering Guide?

Hi

I'm new to Astaro, and still learning my way around.

My mother likes to play a web based mmorpg which has been a real p.i.t.a. and I cant seem to get it to work without disabling web filtering.

I'm wondering if anyone can point me to a guide on how the web filtering works. Or how to set it up for playing web games.

which mmorpg is it? what astaro version? Then we can guide you for configuration.

Wizard101 its a free online mmo. Like a kids one really

try putting in an exception for wizard101.com in the content filter in sites never to block. Also int he advanced section add wizard101.com into the same exception thing as either windows update or adobe acrobat.

I cloned windows update.

So instead of:

^https?://([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?windowsupdate\.com/

I just have:

wizard101.com ?

subsititue wizard101.com in the regex for windows update. so ^http?://([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?wizard101\.com/

And web filter is just in transparent mode with no other changes

nods..try that regex and see if it works. stick it in the windows update exception on another line..no need to build another one..[:)]
