Confirmed. I created a bug report for this on your behalf. If you are using the proxy in transparent mode, the best I can offer is to add it to the Transparent Proxy Skiplist.

Here's the response from a developer to the bug report:
This is a bug of the Webserver - it fails to deliver some files if the client doesn't send a 'Accept-Encoding' Header. I've notified the Webmaster about this issue. Note that this is nothing we can fix in our proxy.

@Wingman: No updates. It was one of the developers who sent the email to the site, so there really isn't a case number to followup. Even with a case number, all Astaro can do is notify the webmaster, but cannot force him/her to acknowledge or make changes.
@SveN: You can try to contact the site Webmaster as well.
