av scanning messing with my downloads

torrentflux doesn't allow you to right click all files and save as. Instead if you do that you get index.php. If you left click it will open the save dialog which only goes to my mac. otherwise I'd save to the networked hdd. Probably user configurable in firefox or safari, but i forget or don't know where.

The way I was doing it was having the av scanner scan files up to 2gb then when it's done I could right click and save as. That was the only way I knew how to do this. The AV scanner isn't meant for that big of a file? 2gb or something?

And the http proxy, I don't use it. At least it's not used by my choice. It is on via the default installation. So I don't know anything about it or why I would want it or not want it other then when filtering and having users log in or make changes in their browser and stuff like that. I don't do that. If I filter with the content filer it's for everyone and no changes are wanted on each computer. So I don't know if I have to use the http proxy or not and yes, I don't know much about it. I do know a tiny bit about it.

if you are using a/v scanning you are using the proxy..that's how it is designed.  With only 1 gig of ram if you are scanning 2 gig files you are running into swap..big time.  You need to have about 3 gigs installed in that firewall to handle what you are doing.
