Problem with Cobion Surf Protection.

Looks like something is blocking port 6000 on the internet side of Ali's Astaro box. Maybe a router or ISP is blocking access to that port?

We do not seem to be blocked on port 6000 though, telnet works....

I am installing the entire security suite. But still have no cobion protection  [:S]

The stuff from first post, is although on my Box Release 6.100. There is a bug connecting to the cobion servers. Support is working on it.

Lovely.  I haven't dove into logs yet, but on two occasions I've had IE stuck trying to access any website.  If I disable Cobion, I get right through.  When I re-enable Cobion, it works fine for a while.

Just upgraded to 6.100 (rebuilt my 5.204 system) last night, and so far this is the only issue I've seen.

When the patch is released (I'm a Novell customer), will it be made available via Up2Date right away?

Well, I tried ASL 4 and V.5.024 and it never works either.

Yesterday, we installed Kerio Winroute firewall instead of ASL and I enjoyed the filter protection.

I easily block porn and games.com

Also I enjoyed virus protection, when accessing www.serials.ws blocks has been implemented to the viruses

It is smooth and nice.

your company must well endowed with funds. Also going with a windows based product, not a very stable base to put a firewall on. More memory leaks than Ronald Reagan had, will need to be rebooted about once a week or more.

First, I would like to confirm that I am trying to configure MY ASL box for private reason.

Second, I was obliged to use Kerio, since me, Adeel Akram and Simon Shaw had failed to configure the ASL to use Cobion and AntiVirus.

If you are interested I can connect my ASL to a public IP and you can configure it for me

Well ASTARO PEOPLE,

I tried everything, different ISPs, different versions of ASL, different license, and different hardware. IT ALL DOES NOT WORK

It is not related to hardware, license, port 6000, isp, version, it is related to ASTARO itself.

Kerio Winroute Firewall works fine with me !!! I enjoyed the surf protection, virus and many more.

Still waiting for your help in this concern, but please, be specific.

Next question, have you logged a fault with Astaro. Making statements like yoiur previous one doesn't mean anything.

Coboin works fine on my home licence, blocks sites under time control, surf and virus protection work well. Stops spyware, adware, embeded virii.

No I did not buy a cobion license, BUT the trial license include valid surf protection. ALSO I borrowed a valid license and does not work either.

As you remember that I have three different internet connection, 2 with public IP and 1 private IP.

The Cobion of the old astaro never works with them.

The new patch has worked PERFECT with the 2 public IP internet while the internet with the private IP does not work.

In about 2 months I will have internet service with public IP.
