Surf Protection Problem ASL 6.0.2

When I turn off Surf Protection, it loads fine.  Or if I add it to a whitelist it works ok also.  The SP profile has everything turned off (no options enabled).  Any ideas?

you have to have a correct profile configured.  That error is the result of a misconfiguration in your surf protection profile.  There's two parts to the profile:
The profile and the profile assignment.  How do you have those two configured?

Yes, both are configured.  I have the default profile with no blocked SP Categories and only Virus Scanning and Spyware enabled for the Content Scanning Features.

The defualt profile has one user attached to it and ANY as the network.  When I open the browser, I authenticate as that user and can pull up other sites, just not microsoft.com.

we have the same problem in 6.003. any url works, only microsoft.com didn´t work. what is the solution?

Mine is setup up similar to yours except v6.003 and no authentication and works fine. Just connected to microsoft.com and I was re-directed to www.microsoft.com. Changed pages and looked at a number of items, all worked okay.

Somewhere you must have something blocking the microsoft site.

microsoft.com is an authentication exception introduced because of issues with authentication and windows update. in order for it to work you can either enter it into "trusted domains" list or create a profile (and a profile assignment) in surfprotection which matches on ip's an not on usernames/groups. be sure to add this assignment as the LAST one (so it works as a 'collect all' fallback).

Probably the problem is not the profile but the "anonymity" setting in "global settings" of the http-proxy.
When I changed that setting to "none" I got the connection to the windows update server.

The first thing that wanted to be downbloaded and installed by windows update server:

I added microsoft.com as an expection in the content filter.  Vukasin has also stated this is the only way to do it right now.

Now if they fix the streaming content issues, I'll be somewhat happy with ASL.
